Description |
Wooden cane with brass ring between the curved handle and the round shaft. The handle has five small round aluminum insets on each side (four sides) of the base of the handle. Made by Ray Fisher, local hermit, May 19, 1976. Written in cursive along the length of the shaft: "May this cane be like the widows and old maids of this valley, always ready but never called for." "Made by Ray Fisher at his cane factory on Rush Creek near Glade Springs, Va." "Signed by Ray Fisher." "Serial No. 101." |
