Description |
World War I nurses' uniform and three headpieces. The uniform is blue cotton with a wide white yoke, white sleeve cuffs, and a large pocket on either side of the dress. The first headpiece is a long, black linen scarf with a white band across the front and an embroidered red cross in the center; the scarf ties under the chin. The second headpiece is of white linen, with an emblem sewn to the front reading "A.R.C. Canteen Worker". The third headpiece is a white linen triangular shaped scarf with a red cross embroidered on the front edge. |
