Edward Boyd Wade |
Description |
Painting of Edward B. Wade wearing his winter service uniform. Painting is of his mid torso up. He is wearing an olive green jacket with two circular gold buttons, with two crossed rifles on them, in the center. He has ribbons on his right proper side, above his right proper breast pocket. The first ribbon is the Army good conduct ribbon, in the top center. Underneath it are three ribbons: the WWI Victory ribbon, the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign ribbon, and the WWII Victory ribbon. Both breast pockets have smaller circular gold buttons on them. On both lapels of his coat there are two circular gold pins, about the size of the buttons, with two crossed rifles on them. On the right proper shoulder strap there is a small gold pin visible. In the traditional army uniform there would be another pin on the opposite side, but Wade is angled such that the other pin cannot be seen. On his right proper shoulder there is a circular patch with three equal stripes of red, yellow, and blue. The patch appears to be the shoulder sleeve insignia of the Continental Army Command which is now U.S. Army Training And Doctrine Command (TRADOC). Underneath the circular patch is his rank patch (technical sargeant), which has three stripes above a capital T. |
