Banner for Captain George H. Bentley Camp No. 3, instituted 5 May 1908, Department of Virginia, United Spanish War Veterans. The Spanish American War Seal is embroidered on the front. It shows a cross with four arms of equal length. The arms are inscribed, clockwise from the top, Cuba, Puerto Rico, USA, and Philippine Islands. In the center of the cross is a round seal with the words: Spanish War Veterans 1898-1902. The Virginia seal is embroidered on the back. The banner is made of sky blue silk embroidered with silk thread. It has gold fringe on three sides. |
