Color postcard of Hotel Roanoke prior to its 1938 renovation. Hotel is white with green roof and black exposed tudor beams. Colorful trees mark the pathway that cuts acorss the lawn to Shenandoah Avenue. On the reverse, the postcard is unused, but has the following in the upper left: Hotel Roanoke - A modern version of an Old English Inn - in the center of a city surroundd by a ten acre park. On the Norfolk and Western Railway. Postcard was printed by the Asheville Post Card Co., Asheville N.C. |
