    Letter headed Leigh, October 14th, from Mary Gilmer to her daughter, Emma Breckinridge, at Catawba near Fincastle [estimated year 1835] telling of her difficult journey home, and of finding son William ill, and of William's wish for Lucy to return home from her long stay with the Breckinridges (letter does not mention Peachy) who is ill and will die in the next year. Talks of digging a grave, although it is not clear who is to be buried.
