   Two photographs of the eastern lawn at "Cocke-Spur", the Orchard Hill residence of Mr. Lucian Hayward Cocke and Sarah (Johnson) Hagan Cocke, his wife, during the May 4, 1914 reception for Vice President and Mrs.Thomas R. 3. Elmwood Drapes - Long, rectangular woven rug in colorful blocks with geometric designs. Fringe of warp at each short edges. In a note from Martha Hull, daughter of Mary Terry Goodwin Kuyk, about the drapes: "I agree they look like rugs and indeed mother used them as throw rugs at the cabin on Bent Mountain. She insisted that they were 'drapes.' When we were putting the cabin to bed for the winter and storing anything the mice could eat, I asked her about the rugs. She said, 'those are drapes. They hung at the windows at Elmwood.' That's the only reason I know they were from Elmwood. And she did not call the curtains at other windows 'drapes,' but curtains. If you want to call them rugs (as I did), I won't argue because that's what they look like. I have a photo album with some Elmwood interiors, but there are no photos of main rooms. "

6. Goodwin Residence at 1010 Orchard Hill - A black and white photograph of the house at 1010 Orchard Hill, built by Thompson West Goodwin, between 1907 and 1908, in Roanoke, Virginia. Mr. Goodwin came to Roanoke in 1888 and later married Mary Terry, daugher of P. L. Terry. In 1900, Mr. Goodwin and ten other business associates chartered the Century Banking and Safe Deposit Company with $100,000 capital. They took over the old headquarters of the National Exchange Bank on the southeast corner of Jefferson Street and Salem Avenue. In 1914 he became manager of Peoples Perpetual Building and Loan Association. Mr. Terry died on January 20, 1933. He was President of Peoples Perpetual Building and Loan Company at the time of his death.

   Hardcover book in brown canvas decorated with a painted and impressed cover of the title in a banner alongside a gilded image of a child, and a floral design along the bottom: Sara Crewe or What Happened at Miss Minchin's by Francis Hodgson Burnett. Free endpaper has been inscribed in graphite with 'Mary Terry Goodwin/Elmwood/1906,' while a bookplate has been adhered to the pasted endpaper.
