  4. Col. Lewis' Grave Marker Dedicated - May 20 1967

    In May of 1967, a grave marker was dedicated for Col. Andrew Lewis Jr., a Revolutionary War soldier and Salem pioneer. The marker was unveiled for a large crowd, among which included representatives from the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Sons of the American Revolution, as well as a color guard made up of members from the Air Force, Marine Corps, and the Army.

Elijah McClanahan, who then sold it in 1825.
