    Land grant from Leiutenant Governor Beverley Randolph, of Virginia, to Hezekiah Chenia. The grant is for two hundred and eighty-seven acres, of which Hezekiah Chenia paid one pound ten shillings sterling. The land is in Montgomery County, at Sugar Run, a Branch of Cripper Creek, and was surveyed in 1782.     This is a copy of a land grant from the Virginia State Library at Richmond, Virginia. It is recorded in Grants, Volume 21, Pp. 706-708. This grant is to William Cross, assignee of William Strode. Located in Botetourt County, Virginia, it provides the usual metes and bounds and adjoins James River acreage previously granted to William Cross (see related). Eighteenth century currency is in use and William Cross is the assignee of William Wilson, son and heir of Richard Wilson, deceased. This grant adjoins the land of Thomas Rowland and Joseph Kyle and is also within the area of James River.
