   This small daybook was used to keep accounts of tuition, fees for boarding pupils, cash advances, and small store items. This was probably kept by Burford Wills for the years 1854 through 1859, in Franklin County, Virginia. He was reported to have the largest school in Franklin County before the Civil War. 4. Hollins Horse Show Third Place Ribbon - Yellow third place ribbon for the Hollins Horse Show, 1945. Ribbon is made up of a silk rosette with a two ribbons hanging from the center. On the deep yellow silk covered button at the center of the rosette is 'Hollins College Riding Show 1945' in gold. A yellow cotton tab and a cotton twill tab have been added for ease of hanging to the back of the starched linen of the rosette.

11. La Grande Prix de Huemoz - Graphite drawing of a horse in three-quarter profile, its ears up and alert. The horse has a white blaze, and wears a western style bridle without the noseband. The drawing is signed in the lower right corner 'J.S.' in graphite. The mat has two concentric rectangles in silver just outside the beveled mat, adding to the decorative nature of the otherwise plain black frame. Adhered to the upper right hand corner of the frame is a small handmade paper rosette with two red and white gingham ribbons hanging from the bottom. In the center of the paper rosette, someone (most likely Jane) has written 'La Grande Prix de Huemoz' in fading ink.
