Description |
Graphite drawing of a horse in three-quarter profile, its ears up and alert. The horse has a white blaze, and wears a western style bridle without the noseband. The drawing is signed in the lower right corner 'J.S.' in graphite. The mat has two concentric rectangles in silver just outside the beveled mat, adding to the decorative nature of the otherwise plain black frame. Adhered to the upper right hand corner of the frame is a small handmade paper rosette with two red and white gingham ribbons hanging from the bottom. In the center of the paper rosette, someone (most likely Jane) has written 'La Grande Prix de Huemoz' in fading ink. |
