    Newspaper clipping, n.d., "Prominent Salem Lawyer Found Dead of Hanging." Marshall Simmons McClung, 54, prominent lawyer and business man, was found dead of hanging. County medical examiner said the hanging was self-inflicted, and declared that McClung had been in declining, poor health for several months. A search for McClung began when he failed to appear at a meeting of the Salem Kiwanis Club.
