2. Algernon B. Reese, M.D. - A black and white photograph of Algernon B. Reese (1896-1981), an ophthalmologist and clinical professor at Vanderbilt Clinic. He graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1921. His areas of expertise were retinoblastoma and retrolental fibroplasia. He authored a textbook entitled "Tumors of the Eye" and published over 200 articles and scientific papers involving the field of ophthalmology. Dr. Reese is listed as a member of the faculty and a guest lecturer of the Ninth (1935) and Fifteenth (1941) Spring Congresses held locally.
