Black & white photograph of the interior of a bedroom. The end of a bed with chunky hexagonal posts is seen at the right, and faces a large mantle with a small grated fireplace. Two windows with the paisley window treatments are placed at the right wall, a dresser with a large mirror between the windows. Two balloon back parlor chairs are placed in front of each window. Carpet has a large blocked design of flowers and other patterns. Most likely interior of the building pictured in 2019.21.7.01. This is the Philadelphia home of David Flickwir, in which he lived before moving to Roanoke in 1881. |
