Description |
Chartreuse and burgundy-brown raw silk three piece suit with a full length skirt (a), green tank top (b), brown short sleeve blouse, (c) and belt (d). The solid green trumpeted skirt snaps up the side and has a repeated pointed seam motif at the waist band in front and back. The green tank top has a V neck in back and front and ties in front. The solid brown open-front blouse has folded short sleeves and decorative seam details at the nape of the neck. The belt is green with brown at one end. Notes in the accession register state that this set, dated 1931, was made out of evening pajamas and was worn all over Europe. |
