   Samuel H. Pulliam was born in Richmond, January 16, 1841. He was the son of Samuel T. Pulliam. Prior to the war, he was the recorder and presiding magistrate for the city. He graduated from Richmond College and attended the University of Virginia where he was graduated from several of its schools.
