Bob McConnell having his ankles taped by coach Bob McLelland. - A black and white photograph of Coach Bob McLellan taping the ankles of Bob McConnell prior to the Roanoke Midget League All Star team's victories in the Santa Claus Bowl competition in Lakeland, Florida on December 28, 1951. The running of McConnell was instrumental to the victories according to the Roanoke Times. In an interview with the History Museum of Western Virginia on September 13, 2013 his team mate, John Hurt, Jr., described him as a hard runner who "carried the freight".

3. Franklin D. Roosevelt - Five photos of a parade for Franklin D. Roosevelt in Roanoke, Virginia in fall of 1934. The parade went down Campbell Avenue in front of the court house in the first three photos. Spectators line the steps of the court house with bank members on the landing. There is a Boy Scout and parade official lining the parade route. In the fourth photo the parade is in front of the furniture store Reed and Cutshall and the Roanoke Times building. A policeman stands along the parade route. In the fifth photo the car carrying President Roosevelt is passing in front of the Chevrolet car dealership.

National Champion Midget League Football Team of 1951 outside of Victory Stadium - A black and white photograph of the 1951 National Champion Midget League Football Team from Roanoke,Virginia, and their coaches posing outside of Victory Stadium just days before their championship victory in the Santa Claus Bowl in Lakeland, Florida. According to the Roanoke Times, the Pop Warner Foundation event drew a crowd of over 3,000.
