1. Framed silhouette picture of George and Martha Washington with facsimile autographs below each portrait. The silhouette is affixed to background paper, and is framed. There appears to be applied decoration to Martha Washington's silhouette to imitate hair. There are no identifying marks as to the maker of this piece, but the Washingtons were a very popular subject for home decor from the first quarter of the 19th century until the mid - 19th century. This silhouette is of fair quality and condition, exhibiting foxing and staining to the paper, as well as some light creasing. The gold painted frame, which is most likely not of the same period as the silhouette, is broken at the top.

4. Woven, wooden sewing basket containing gathered sections of varying pieces and styles of lace. This basket features various shades of wood splints that are interwoven to create a pattern. The sections of lace that are included inside this basket feature both traditional lace, as well as fabric adorned with both lace and fringe. This type of sewing basket, with its above average quality of decoration and content, is typical of a middleclass housewife from the last quarter of the 19th century.

5. These thick clam shell beads (Venus mercenaria) were found in the summer of 1929 at the Saponi Indian mound near Montvale, Virginia. It is believed that the beads were used as a form of currency. Coastal Indians traded the beads for hides. "Rawrenoke" was the word used by Indian tribes to mean "white beads."

6. Doll's handmade, sleeveless dress consisting of blue, cotton fabric adorned with white lace and a panel on the front of navy velvet. This dress, which was made in 1850 by Magdalene Beyer when she was a child. The dress measures 11" long, and is in very good condition considering its age and use.

11. Hand-held railroad lantern. A slender cylindrical lantern. Painted silver with a movable stand. The red handle is on the bottom along with the switch for turning the light on and off. Star design stamped on stand sides, N&W inscription on side. Has been painted silver.

12. This toy doll's handmade overcoat is a companion piece to the dress in the previous record. This dress was made in 1850 by Magdalene Beyer when she was a child, and measures 13" long. The overcoat consists of blue, cotton material adorned with white lace and faded, navy velvet on the cuffs, along with faded, navy velvet ties on the front and white, satin ribbon on the back. The condition of this piece is very good, although there appears to be soiling to the lace collar.

14. "8-Day" Kitchen Wall Clock made in Germany, 1930's - Kitchen wall clock; circa 1930's, Germany. The clock is octagonal (eight-sided), made of tin. The outer border has a black and white scroll design. The inner border is light green, with a dark green inset at "3, 6, 9, and 12". The clock face itself is a white rectangle with black numbers and black hash-marks denoting the minutes. The hands of the clock are black metal. Printed in black on the clock are two small intersecting arrows, plus the words "8-DAY" and "GERMANY". The clock needed winding every 8 days. The reverse of the clock has a wall mount with visible gears encased in tin.

15. "Aerohaler" Powder Inhaler - The object is an "Aerohaler" Powder Inhaler. The box of the inhaler has written on it "ONE SET AEROHALER TRADEMARK (ABBOTT'S POWDER INHALER) For Use With ABBOTT SIFTER CARTRIDGES SEE DIRECTIONS FOR USE IN ENCLOSED CIRCULAR PATENT APPLIED FOR ABBOTT LABORATORIES NORTH CHICAGO ILL., U.S.A." Also written on the cover is the number "5853563 " and handwritten on the cover is "995.10.5". The box is black, green, and a very dirty white. Inside the box is a nose and a mouthpiece made from glass. There is one large cork stopper. There are two circular pieces with red plastic stoppers, and one extra red plastic stopper in the box. The inside of the box is yellow. The outside of the box is taped together.

16. "Bar Boy" Bar Measure - The object is a Bar Measure or "Bar Boy" bottle opener. Engraved into the handle is the words "bar boy". The bar measure has a corkscrew and bottle opener in the handle. The whole bar measure is made of metal. The bar measure has measurements on the end where it is used to pour liquor in to be measured. The object was to measure liquor for drinks, open wine bottles, and open beer bottles. The object is in good condition.

19. "Detrola Pee-Wee" plastic radio. - Small, blue plastic radio with red dials and white tab. Circa 1930-1949, American. The radio has an Art-Deco-type design. There is a large red dial imprinted with numbers 65 through 160. Beneath the dial is "DETROLA." Beneath this is another smaller red dial which sits above a white tab like structure. The reverse of the radio has a heavy cardboard with various sized openings for the four radio tubes housed behind it. Printed on the cardboard is the following: "DETROLA PEE-WEE, 110 VOLT, A.C. D.C., License Notice On Reverse Side, No. 52199." There are two brown, cloth covered wire cords coming from the radio.

20. "ELMWOOD" Iron Gate Signs - The objects are "ELMWOOD" iron gate signs. The first sign has the letters "ELM" and "D". The second sign is missing all of the letters. All four corners of the sign have the same specific design, except the bottom left corner of the first sign which appears to have a broken piece missing. There is another design in the middle on the top and bottom of each sign. In the interior part of the sign is a design at each corner on both signs. There is a large accumulation of rust on the first sign next to the letter "D". There is a large accumulation of rust on the second sign where the missing "EL" should be located. There is a large amount of discoloration and rusting throughout the signs.
