    This letter with no date and no heading was written by Emma Breckinridge in pencil to her daughter, Mary, probably during the 1850 period. Describes Mary Peachy Wilmer as being sick and gives instructions about fixing a large meal including a turkey, an old ham and a round of beef as Mrs. Peyton is coming to dine tomorrow. Since there is no address, the letter was probably hand-carried from Catawba to Grove Hill.
